I live for breakfast! Anyone who eats healthy knows the importance of a good breakfast! So I look for quality, value, and variety with service! Ambiance is important but I've had incredible food at a hole in the wall location! Paradise scores high with me on all fronts! My sis was in town so I wanted to give her a taste of the neighborhoods surround my home in Dunedin. We visited Safety Harbor as I enjoy hangin' out there from time to time. I also do a lot of run races there as it's a great area to rock your run! I had been to Paradise several times before so I wanted to share our local businesses with her and not the corporate joints. It had been a while, and I must have forgotten the great local cafe feel for the place. Our server was most friendly. That so sets any establishment up for success! My sis wanted a good old fashioned bacon and eggs breakfast. We also split a waffle! (ordered crispy and made perfectly) I ordered an egg white bacon and cheese omelette and couldn't ask for a better one! This last visit reminded me not to stay away so long! In fact, I'm doing the Best Damn Race in Safety Harbor on Feb 2. Recovery breakfast will be right here! Woo Hoo!

I've eaten here quite a few times now and while it's not something I'd rave about, I keep going back. That has to mean something right? Well, it does. The service is always very fast and extremely friendly but not in an annoying way. It's family owned and you can tell the staff enjoys working there. Breakfast menu is great and you can't beat the prices. They also have a grilled cheese and fries meal that hits the spot when you want something home cooked but don't want to cook it yourself. They have great soups and I haven't had any of the Albanian dishes but they look really good. I like this place too much to give it just 3 stars even if it's not exactly Bern's, it's not a 3 star place.

I went by reviews of fellow Tampa Bay Yelpers and I was not disappointed. I felt like I was back in NJ in any old diner. Felt very at home here. I had the Albanian style broiled flounder which was excellent. I also had the BEST Italian Wedding soup I have ever had here!!!! The mashed taters were very good with big lumps in them!! Like Mom made :) The cashier verified that George Herbert Walker Bush indeed at in this restaurant when campaigning for president :)

A good mom & pop diner that has been around for 30+ years. I usually like this place the most for breakfast, but lunch and dinner are good too. Typical diner comfort food. A safe bet for just about anything when you are in downtown Safety Harbor!

We typically go for breakfast, which is okay. The service is fast and very friendly. All of the waitresses and staff are terrific. I typically order a ham and cheese omelet. I would also recommend eggs over-easy, or pancakes.

Decent breakfast in a laid-back diner atmosphere. The regulars are good: waffles, eggs, potatoes, etc. They only offer turkey bacon, no regular bacon. WTF. I know. Waitresses are nice, food is quick, and prices are good.

Since I love going put for breakfast I'm always looking for family diners who know how to make some good breakfast. I've been here a few times so far. The environment and service are both good, usually pretty quick service if you are in a rush. The food is ok, nothing spectacular. Eggs and bacon are standard. The greek omelette with feta and spinach was tasty and full of flavor. They also have a lunch menu here with a variety of sandwiches, soups and other typical diner food. Overall, I'd say this is just a nice family owned Greek style diner that's good for a decent inexpensive meal in charming Safety Harbor Florida.

We went for dinner and the food was good. Nothing spectacular but good. I got the eggplant parmesan and it was a huge serving. My boyfriend got the meatloaf and it was average. I know its a diner but the lights inside are so bright we will probably never go back. We do live close by but not worth the effort to try them again. There are so many places to eat around here we'll just try another spot

Visiting my old stomping grounds for a week and staying with a special someone. We opted to take a walk and explore Safety Harbor since neither of us had in several years. After a while we opted to get out of the sun and cool down while having some lunch. First impressions: typical Florida. We Floridians sure do love our pastel colors lol. Decent space. The seats at on the booths were a little. ..crunchy? They were clean, but crunchy feeling. I went light for lunch with the baby Greek salad and a side of cottage cheese. Which was great. My partner in crime opted for the Belgium waffle with strawberries. It looked amazing. The rest of the menu looked like it is in a lot of little local places like that around here. A mix of dinner, cooler salad stuff and a bit of Greek thrown in for good measure. Service was great. The staff was really friendly and very attentive. And the prices were low. If I was going to be here longer or was still local I would consider coming back.

Don't know why they rated this restaurant with only 3 stars, we went there and it was the BEST breakfast We've ever had. We were on a weekend getaway and stayed at the Safety Harbor Resort and Spa, on our way out we stopped and had breakfast here (down the street from the resort), our waitress was sooooo friendly and efficient!! The food came out fast and hot, the eggs were cooked to perfection and they had the tastiest potatoes and bacon ever!! We happen to get here in time for he breakfast special which was only $5 for all that food and the toast was included!! Wish they had this restaurant in our town!!!

We boycotted this place a couple of years ago because some genius decided the world needed to convert to turkey bacon. Heard it was under new ownership so decided to try it again for gyro lunch. First thing I noticed was something wrong with AC because it was very warm inside, I placed my order as such: gyro with meat crispy and onions cooked. I asked that my side be potato salad. She tells me the potato salad is extra $. I point out that the menu shows side options but she says that's only for sandwiches.....the same page gyros and wraps are on! So what does it come with I ask, a pickle she states. Fine, just the gyro please. She brings it out covered in raw onion. I point this out to her and she states 'I TOLD them!' No apology, just grabs it back and leaves. She brings it back a few minutes later with cooked onions but again with no apologies. Also, soggy meat and the pita never touched the skillet. To add insult to injury she also gave me the wrong check - for almost twice my amount. Seeing as how there was all of 3 other occupied tables in the whole place, I found it absurd she could confuse the checks too. Again, no apology. I felt like I was bothering her by eating there. Sorry but in my opinion this place went from bad to worse. Definitely won't be back.

This is a cute little diner in downtown Safety Harbor - - - nothing fancy, but good prices good service and great food. Will usually go for breakfast but they have a number of great specials - - pancakes are delicious and a lot of good omelets. The spanakopita and eggplant parmesan are also delicious and I am a Greek salad an assortment of soups if you're heading there for lunch. It's our go to breakfast place in the area. Easy to get in and out before work but they don't rush you

I'm not a fan and I don't know anyone who is. The food here is just incredibly safe and there is nothing I would recommend. Nothing is terrible but nothing is interesting. Safe Boring Safe Boring Repeat

I've eaten at this restaurant a few times, always for breakfast. It's comfortable, has a nice family atmosphere, the staff is wonderful, and the food is really good. I always get eggs, french toast, and bacon. It's always hot and fresh and I always finish every bite. :) I really love the location of this restaurant, too, right in downtown Safety Harbor. I recommend it if you are in the area!!

Stopping in for "Lunner", The husbeast and I got to try out this quaint little family diner in down town Safety Harbor. I saw that they had advertised specials on their place mats and opted for their pot roast over noodles. I was expecting brown gravy but what I got was something all together different. A luscious tomato, pepper and onion gravy over tender roast beef and pasta. The meal also came with soup or salad (I chose the Lemon chicken soup) and a dessert of rice pudding. All was served quick and fresh, it was quite tasty, and for under $10.00. My husband opted for the other special of a "Cheeseburger in Paradise" which was just what it was, a cheeseburger with all the trimmings and big steak fries. The fries were done to perfection and the burger, though pre-formed, was tasty as well. We rounded out our meal with unlimited iced tea. The service was excellent and we would certainly come back again!

To all the lovers of diners, this is one for The list. I love this large diner located right on Main street in Safety Harbor. It is run by a family of course since my cashier was the owner's adorable young daughter. The breakfast is my favorite, with all orders to your fancy. The egg dishes were outstanding and since I am a fan of corned beef hash I ordered it and was not disappointed. The staff is friendly and attentive. Lots of old folks dine there but did see a smattering of families as well. Overall, I would go again and again. The menu is large and typical of a Greek type diner that been around for a while. Definitively a keeper.

Had lunch there today, and I have to admit it wasn't our first choice. The other place was closed, but that may have been blessing in disguise! This family style diner was clean, eclectic, and the staff was very friendly. Ordered the chicken souvlaki with a small Greek salad for a side. I couldn't believe the size of the the "small" salad. It would have been a large in almost any other restaurant! It was perfection by itself; potato salad and all, then came the main dish. Chicken was cooked perfectly, and seasoned well. I enjoyed my meal so much I don't even remember what my two guests had, but I do know there were no complaints. Go there for the food and you will not be disappointed.

Paradise was right on Main street - easily accessible by a short walk from the Marina/Resort/Spa. I visited here post Best Damn Race half marathon. The inside is an older style row diner, quiet decor, with placemat's that have ads of all the local shops/stores. I am always intrigued by what is near when I see these. The menu was typical diner fare - lots of pancake, french toast, or egg/omelette dishes. Post race, I want CARBS and my banana walnut pancakes were cooked perfectly. Coffee was also good and fresh. I was a little surprised that they did not have regular bacon, but did have country ham and turkey bacon. I decided to spring for the turkey bacon, it would be my first time trying it. No fault of the restaurant, but it wasn't my thing. Give me some dirty pig bacon puhhhlease! Our server was sweet and very prompt - service good :) Prices were average.

Five stars for the service, but can't do better than 3 for the food. I was there with friends and an elderly relative - he is a regular and loves the place - and I ordered breakfast. The scrambled eggs were not fluffy and hot, but were flat and very greasy. It's not difficult to prepare fluffy scrambled eggs and when breakfast is such a big part of your menu, you need to learn how. The rest of the meals were so-so, pretty average. They would really benefit from updating the menu to include more fresh, savory ingredients. And cut the grease! It's definitely a family-friendly place, and as I said, the service is very good, fast and attentive. And the prices are not bad. Nice local folks.

I miss this place! Every time I go back and visit, I try to stop by here. It is diner food. So I am giving it 4.5 stars for diner food. I would give it 5 stars for service because the family who owns and runs it have always been exceedingly friendly and helpful. I am not sure how everyone is related, but somehow they all seemed to be. Gyros are excellent. If you are in Safety Harbor, this is a GREAT place for family or a casual dinner. Also, I love their breakfasts. It really is a highlight of Safety Harbor.

Always liked this place. Went several times, however last time the waitress put a steaming hot plate with steam going in my face and now my face is burning here weeks later and eyes are dry. Wish they would let it cool off a bit and tell you that the plate is burning hot wish I ordered cold food would not be suffering.

Food was average at best. They don't serve real bacon, only turkey bacon. Real bacon isn't even an option. Our server was nice, however the female owner who cashed our ticket out didn't even make eye contact with me or say a word while running my credit card. She continued to talk to someone in the back about her daughter cooking this weekend. Really rude. I really wish we didn't go and we won't go back.

Eh. The food was OK. Service was OK too. It's diner food, but nothing really impressive.

Great place to eat. There were four in our party and all four selections were great. From fish, to salad, to breakfast for lunch nobody was disappointed. Wait we were disappointed that the servings were so large that we couldn't eat the wonerful desserts!!!!

I really wish I could give this place a better review as it is a small family owned venture. But the only thing I think it has going for it is that the food is very inexpensive. The menu is filled with the same stuff that was probably on it in the 1980's. I guess that works for them but there are some way tastier places to eat in the area. I have mostly gone here for breakfast and if you are looking for a place where you can get pancakes or waffles or two egg type breakfast for you and a friend with tip for under $20 this place works. If you want a really great breakfast check out Lenny's or First Watch.

The Paradise Restaurant is a long-time anchor of Safety Harbor's downtown "action". George Bush has even eaten here! (Don't hold that against them :) Old-time booths and registers add to the charm. Locals sit at the counter and read the local paper. The "Greek" is authentic Mediterranean--Albanian actually. The pastitsio was marvelously well-made (macaroni & beef set in an egg custard). Portions were large, dessert was included in the special of the day. I chose bread pudding--arriving powdered in cinnamon and doused in whip cream--the best I've had. Their Albanian Flounder is a melt-in-your-mouth fish dish. Large salad and homemade pita also came with the meal, all less than $10. Nice break from spa food. Homey. Local color. Fast service

When did they start serving such small eggs? We always loved going here. Haven't been there in maybe a year...the eggs were so small you couldn't even dunk your toast in the yolk, which everyone knows is the best part of breakfast.

Family owned restaurant that has been an establishment in the area for what seems to be forever. I think its main draw is the never changing menu which consists of a strange Greek-American array of choices. Its definitely got a diner- type feel with seating at the counter near the kitchen and pie display case at the entry. Food is really not that great - but good enough for some grub at really reasonable prices ( you get what you pay for). Crowd is generally older and probably patrons that have been frequenting the place 20+ years. The best part of the restaurant is its location in the heart of downtown Safety Harbor.
